Supposedly 29% horse meat in a “beef” burger is quite acceptable (see: http://www.rte.ie/news/2013/0115/horse-meat-beef-burgers.html Not too long ago, I saw several horses die at a steeplechase in Ireland. Apparently broken legs (horse = dead) are quite the norm at these races. I’m not saying these new burger findings are related, but it does make you wonder where all the dead horses go.
